The
Review is a yearbook of Command and Staff College, Quetta. It began as Owl
Pie in 1921 and was named The Owl the next year. The current name dates back
to 1979.
The magazine is published at the end of each calendar year, serving as a
pictorial record of the Staff College of that year. It is open to students,
staff and former alumni for contributing prose, poetry, pen sketches or
pictures portraying activities, feelings and life at the College.
Subscriptions are from students and staff, the amount being determined every
year. Major financing is through advertisements and a College subsidy,
whenever required. Distribution is confined to subscribers, senior services
officers, visiting dignitaries and delegations, selected institutions, and a
specified category of former faculty members.
The magazine is managed by an Editor, who is a member faculty, supported by
an Assistant Editor, who is a member faculty/permanent staff, and few
selected Assistant Editors from amongst the student officers.
